Geochemical Analysis:  A group of investigatory methods that involve obtaining the chemical composition of materials, e.g. using geochemical analyses allows archaeologists to “fingerprint” basalt used in making adzes to chart where they were moved after their manufacture. 

Geomorphology:  The study of landscape formation, such as soil erosion and old beach placements.
